Prince Charles is coming to town... in Canada

According to "The Vancouver Sun" newspaper, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, are scheduled to visit Canada in November, 2009 - from November 2 to November 12. They will touch down in Newfoundland, Ontario, British Columbia and Quebec.

New details of the royals' visit were released Saturday by the Canadian Prime Minister's Office.

The two will be in the country , marking the first trip to Canada for the two as a married couple.

"The visit by Their Royal Highnesses is a great honour for Canadians," said Prime Minister Stephen Harper in a statement. "It will allow all of us, particularly young people, an opportunity to learn more about the heritage and traditions of which we are all proud."

The Canadian cities included in the visit are: St. John's, Cupids, and Brigus, N.L.; Toronto, Hamilton, Niagara-on-the Lake, Petawawa, Ont., and Ottawa; Victoria and Vancouver; and Montreal and Gatineau, Que.

Exact dates for the couple's visit to each location were not revealed.

This will be the 15th official visit to Canada for Prince Charles. His most recent visit was in 2001 when he and his sons Prince William and Prince Henry visited Whistler, famous Canadian National Skiing resort in British Columbia, site of 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
